SCC Golf Society was formed around the late 70's by several local characters like Tom and Jim Sullivan, Roland Ridley, Trevor Haycock and Rodney Goldsmith all members of the Cricket Club. Tom was one of the early captains and Rodney became Secretary/Treasurer - a post he held until 2006.  The aim of the society was and still is to have a social game of golf at different courses in Sussex and Surrey throughout the year with a dinner in the evening.

The format has changed slightly over the years with the evening meal now held at the club house which makes the overall package very competitive - something we all are aware of these days.
