Steyning Cricket Club Colts Section

In 2004 Steyning Cricket Club decided to re-arrange its youth Colts Cricket Section. The main Committee are fully behind this new policy and see it as fundamental to the future success of Steyning Cricket Club. The Committee has appointed Andy Simmons, a ECB qualified Level 2 coach, to head the Colts coaching programme and has funded four members to obtain Level 1 coaching awards.

The Club would currently welcome any boys/girls to join its growing Colts section. At present we have some 40-50 regularly attending coaching. We do not operate strict age limits but our summer coaching sessions were generally attended by girls/boys aged 10-15.

In 2007 we will be entering four Identilam leagues, based in Mid/North Sussex. Matches take place on a Saturday or Sunday morning. We will also arrange further friendlies as the season progresses.

Colts Coaching

Our outdoor coaching sessions take place on Friday evenings from 6.30 at the Cricket Club.

Indoor coaching between Feb-April take place on Tuesday evenings at the Steyning Leisure Centre.
